About our nursery
The Westfield Nursery was established at Queen Mary University of London 25 years ago. In January 2002 the nursery relocated to its current 65-place purpose built setting located in Bancroft Road.
65 places are available to children of staff and students of QMUL, and people outside the College, for children aged three months to five years.
The Nursery is open between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, 48 weeks of the year.
We are closed on bank holidays, two weeks in the summer and for two weeks over Christmas.
We ask that your child arrive at nursery by 10.30am. However, if you would like to come in later please telephone the Nursery beforehand to let them know when they can expect you. If your child will not be attending Nursery because they are on holiday or sick, we ask that parents/carers telephone the Nursery before 9am. If your child is suffering from an infectious disease please inform your keyperson. The Nursery closes at 6.00pm. It is very important that your child is collected on time at the end of the day.
Health & Safety
Safety is of upmost priority, and therefore CCTV protects the Westfield Nursery and access to the building is controlled by an automated door entry system linked to the internal office.
The Nursery is a strictly non-smoking environment.
The Nursery is registered by the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted). Copies of our recent Ofsted report can be found on their website: www.ofsted.gov.uk.
